The new Stumpy smashes the myth that you need a 4ft board to have fun! It is very agile and fast and totally excels in the larger waves out back, especially when wearing fins.
 
It is 91cm (3ft) long and 37.5cm wide, tapering to 35cm.
 
It is made from 18mm thick Paulownia wood which gives lots of buoyancy and it weighs only 1.35Kg.
 
Finished with Danish Oil and a finishing wax.
 
Why channel bottomed?
Channels on the underside of a board are designed to direct water and air flow quickly and with forced direction, allowing for a more controlled and efficient surfing experience. They help to reduce drag and increase speed by directing water flow out the tail of the board, which is particularly beneficial in larger, faster waves. Channels also provide more grip on steep waves and enhances turning characteristics. (Similar to a board with small outside fins)
